I found this dress at goodwill which had a very pretty lace overlay pattern and I decided to change it up a bit to make it more modern by hemming it and adding a triangle cutout.
First, I pinned the area of the triangle I wanted to cut.
Then, I cut an upside down T into the fabric.
Then, I carefully folded the fabric under and pinned it. I cut tiny slits into the corners of the bottom fold in order to make it easier to fold over. Try to keep it symmetrical. Sew the triangle and then you’re done!
So happy with my cute new dress!
